After constant contemplation on the fearful thought of river rafting, I’d finally made up my mind to try it even once. Sometimes, twinge of our emotions can bring us to accomplish things that we thought we can’t.

Last June 15, 2010 was my first time to enjoy the well-known white water rafting in Cagayan de Oro. With the help of Kagay guides we’ve able to experienced the highs and excitement of adrenalin rush.

One week before the scheduled date, I booked 6pax/1 raft via phone. Kagay is very reliable. With just one phone conversation with my details provided, we are already booked for our desired date. Payments can be made after the activity.

Rates:
Advance course – P1,000/1 person

It would be best to wear your most comfy clothes on but it is also advisable to wear something that can cover your legs and arms in order to avoid sunburns and rashes. Put on some sunblock lotion before the activity. You can also bring with you your mobile phones, money and cameras because they have a dry package provided for you to put on your valuable belongings. And of course, do not forget to bring extra clothes, that you can change your wet clothing after the rafting. And since we don’t bring digicams with us, we opted to avail of their photo cd @P250.

At the end of the last rapid, they have resto that you can have your lunch after the tiring 4hours ride; shower rooms and changeable rooms are also available,  so no worries.

Meal rates are reasonable enough @ P180 and 120, with free softdrinks and bananas each. They also have big servings that can satisfy your empty stomach. Each will be provided a mineral water before activity starts. We are also advised to bring something to eat for the 15mins break along the way.

Tour guide shouts: “paddle forward 3”

Us : “one, two, three”

Tour guide shouts: “rapid is coming, ready your paddle”

After each conquered rapid, tour guide shouts: “high five”

The experienced was worth it and unforgettable. It was a good bonding moment with friends and loves one.  So, face your fear! You can do it! And take note, I want to do it again. :-)   for more pictures just click this link: http://glori29.multiply.com/photos/album/19/CdeOs_River_Rating
